Hood Latch Replacement

Hood Latch Replacement

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Replacement (Non HID) or Headlamp Replacement (Yukon) or Headlamp Replacement (Tahoe, Avalanche) or Headlamp Replacement (Cadillac Escalade) .
  2. Remove the grille support. Refer to Support Replacement - Radiator Grille Reinforcement .
  3. Disconnect the hood latch cable. Refer to Hood Latch Release Cable Replacement .
1 Hood Latch Screws (Qty: 4)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  9 N.m (80 lb in)

2 Hood Latch
Tip:  Disconnect the electrical connector.
