Preliminary Procedures Disable roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove front assist handle. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement - Front . Remove windshield garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar . Remove the sunshade assembly and the sunshade retainers. Refer to Sunshade Replacement . Remove roof console assembly. Refer to Roof Console Replacement . Remove front door sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement . Remove rear door sill plate. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) or Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) . Remove center pillar lower molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar Lower . Remove center pillar upper molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar Upper . Remove lock pillar molding. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Suburban/Yukon XL/Escalade ESV) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade) . Remove headliner trim panel molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Upper (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) . Remove coat hooks. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement . Remove map/dome lamp. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement . Place rear seats in stowed position. Remove front seat headrest.

3	Headliner Trim Panel Assembly Tip: Prior to removal, note routing of the wire harness to aid in reassembly and to ensure proper installation. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
