Remove the rear seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Split Bench) or Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Bucket) . Tip: The 60 percent seat is shown, the 40 percent seat is similar.
1	Rear Seat Recliner Actuator Screw (Qty: 2) Tighten: 3 N.m (25 lb in)
2	Rear Seat Recliner Actuator Assembly Tip: Disconnect the electrical connector. Disconnect the actuator cable assembly.

Preliminary Procedures

Fold the seat forward.
Remove the rear seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Split Bench) or Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Bucket) .

Tip: The 60 percent seat is shown, the 40 percent seat is similar.

Rear Seat Recliner Actuator Screw (Qty: 2)

Tighten: 3 N.m (25 lb in)

Tip:

Disconnect the electrical connector.
Disconnect the actuator cable assembly.
