Rear Seat Recliner Actuator Replacement (with Split Bench Seat)

Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Fold the seat forward.
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Split Bench) or Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Bucket) .
Tip:  The 60 percent seat is shown, the 40 percent seat is similar.
1 Rear Seat Recliner Actuator Screw (Qty: 2)

Tighten:  3 N.m (25 lb in)

2 Rear Seat Recliner Actuator Assembly
Tip: 
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Disconnect the actuator cable assembly.
