Blind Spot Information (BSI) System Symptom Troubleshooting Index (BSI)

Symptom  Diagnostic procedure  Also check for
The BSI alert indicator comes on when no other vehicle is in the detectable area (Wrong indication) Symptom troubleshooting .  
The BSI does not come on when other vehicles are in the detectable area (No indication) Symptom troubleshooting .  
The BSI indicator does not come on Symptom troubleshooting .  
The BSI indicator does not go off NOTE:  If any of the CAN communication failure DTCs are indicated in other systems, troubleshoot the DTC first.
  • Check for open wire or shorted wire in the B-CAN circuit;
    • -

      Between the gauge control module and BSI radar unit (B-CAN_H, B-CAN _L)

  • Check the left and/or right side BSI radar unit power circuit (IG1_OPTION)
  • Check the left and/or right side BSI radar unit ground circuit (GND)
  • Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function .
