Electric Powertrain Symptom Troubleshooting - POWER SYSTEM indicator stays on, no DTCs set

  1. HDS communication check

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    -2. Connect the HDS to the DLC.

    -3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.

    Does the HDS identify the vehicle?

    YES 

    Go to step 2.

    NO 

    Do the DLC circuit troubleshooting .

  2. Gauge control module check

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    -2. Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function .

    Does the POWER SYSTEM indicator flash?

    YES 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

    NO 

    Substitute a known-good gauge control module , then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good gauge control module, replace the original gauge control module .
