No sound is heard from all the speakers (display is normal)
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle 12 volt battery condition first .
- Display audio type: If the center display unit displays an error message, follow the instructions .
- Before doing this troubleshooting, go to Audio-navigation unit power will not turn on (No information display) troubleshooting .
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Check the fuses associated with the system, and check for a short in the related lines.
- Operation check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Check that the volume level is not set to the MIN level.
Is it at the MIN level?
YES
Raise the volume level, and recheck the function.
NO: Display audio type
Go to step 2.
NO: Color audio type
Go to step 4.
- Audio system check
-1. Check if the center display unit keeps indicating audio mute indication.
Is audio mute indication displayed?
YES
Go to step 3.
NO
Go to step 4.
- Open wire check (ACC line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) (with navigation)
Audio unit connector A (24P) (without navigation)-3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Repair an open in the wire.
- Problem verification:
Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and use the speaker check mode.
Did all speakers produce a tone?
YES
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose connections. If the tone is weak or distorted, go to Audio system sound is weak or distorted (display is normal) troubleshooting .
NO: With stereo amplifier
The failure is duplicated, go to step 5.
NO: Without stereo amplifier
The failure is duplicated, go to step 19.
- System Diagnostic Mode check:
Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and use the System Links to check the AMP icon status.
Is the AMP icon green?
YES
Go to step 15.
NO
Go to step 6.
- Open wire check (+B_AUDIO_AMP line)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Stereo amplifier connector A (18P) -2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

YES
The +B_AUDIO_AMP wire is OK. Go to step 7.

Repair an open in the wire.
- Determine possible failure area (SWD+B line, others)

Stereo amplifier connector C (16P) -2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-3. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Stereo amplifier connector C (16P)-3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Replace the original stereo amplifier .
NO: With navigation
Replace the audio-navigation unit .
NO: Without navigation
- Shorted wire check (SPKR lines) 1
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
