Warm Up TWC Removal/Installation: Rear
- Remove the rear A/F sensor (Sensor 1) (see A/F SENSOR REPLACEMENT
) and the rear secondary HO2S (Sensor 2) (see SECONDARY HO2S REPLACEMENT
).
- Remove exhaust pipe A (see EXHAUST PIPE AND MUFFLER REPLACEMENT
).
- Remove the rear WU-TWC bracket, then remove the intermediate shaft (see INTERMEDIATE SHAFT REMOVAL
).
- Remove the rear WU-TWC (A).

- Remove the covers (B) from the rear WU-TWC.
- Install the rear WU-TWC with a new gasket (C) and new self-locking nuts (D). Tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps.
- Install the intermediate shaft and the rear WU-TWC bracket (see INTERMEDIATE SHAFT INSTALLATION
).
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
