Installation Procedure
With the aid of an assistant, install the instrument panel (1) to the instrument panel tie bar and the locator pins.
- Reposition the instrument panel wiring harness into the vehicle position as was noted in the removal and connect the fasteners securing the instrument panel wiring harness to the instrument panel (1).
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Instrument Panel Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [8x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
- Connect the electrical connector. (1)
Instrument Panel Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
Instrument Panel Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [3x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
- Connect the electrical connector. (1)
Instrument Panel Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
- Connect the electrical connectors. (1)
Data Link Connector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct - Left Side (1) - Install - Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side (Equinox) , or Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side (Terrain)
Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct - Right Side (1) - Install - Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side (Equinox) , or Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side (Terrain)
Instrument Panel Compartment Door Dampener (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Compartment Door Dampener Replacement
Communication Interface Module (1) - Install - Communication Interface Module Replacement (Equinox) , or Communication Interface Module Replacement (Terrain with IOS, IOT, IOU) , or Communication Interface Module Replacement (Terrain with IOR)
Heater and Air Conditioning Remote Control (1) - Install - Heater and Air Conditioning Remote Control Replacement (Equinox) , or Heater and Air Conditioning Remote Control Replacement (Terrain)
Instrument Cluster (2) - Install - Instrument Cluster Replacement (Equinox) , or Instrument Cluster Replacement (Terrain)
Instrument Panel Knee Bolster (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement (Equinox) , or Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement (Terrain)
Serial Data Gateway Module (1) - Install - Serial Data Gateway Module Replacement (Equinox) , or Serial Data Gateway Module Replacement (Terrain with MNH, NMK, or MHG) , or Serial Data Gateway Module Replacement (Terrain with M3U, M3D, or M3H)
Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Equinox) , or Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Terrain)
Instrument Panel Compartment Door (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement (Equinox) , or Instrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement (Terrain)
Instrument Panel Light Conductor Lamp (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Light Conductor Lamp Replacement (Equinox) , or Instrument Panel Light Conductor Lamp Replacement (GMC)
Forward Collision Alert Display (2) - Install - Forward Collision Alert Display Replacement (Equinox) , or Forward Collision Alert Display Replacement (Terrain)
Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Replacement (Equinox) , or Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Replacement (Terrain)
Instrument Panel Trim Pad - Left Side (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement - Left Side (Equinox) , or Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement - Left Side (Terrain)
Radio Control Assembly (2) - Install - Radio Control Assembly Replacement (Equinox) , or Radio Control Assembly Replacement (Terrain)
Install the left and right radio front speaker (2). Radio Front Speaker Replacement (Equinox) , or Radio Front Speaker Replacement (Terrain)
Radio Front Center Speaker (2) - Install - Radio Front Center Speaker Replacement (Equinox) , or Radio Front Center Speaker Replacement (Terrain)
Install the left and right instrument panel outer trim cover (1). Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement (Equinox) , or Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement (Terrain)
- Install the left and right windshield garnish molding. Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement (Equinox) , or Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement (Terrain)
- Front Floor Console - Install - Front Floor Console Replacement (Equinox) , or Front Floor Console Replacement (Terrain)
Front Floor Console Extension Panel - Right Side (1) - Install - Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Right Side (Equinox) , or Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Right Side (Terrain)
Front Floor Console Extension Panel - Left Side (1) - Install - Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Left Side (Equinox) , or Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Left Side (Terrain)
