Rear Side Door Replacement (Extended Cab)

WARNING: In order to prevent SIR deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs, do not strike the door or the door pillar in the area of the side impact sensor (SIS). Turn OFF the ignition and remove the key when performing service in the area of the SIS. Preliminary Procedures Apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces. Open the door to the full open position. Disable the supplementary inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the rear side door trim. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Replacement (Extended Cab) . Disconnect the electrical connector. Unclip and remove the wiring harness from the door. Mark the location of the hinges before removing the fasteners with a grease pencil.
1	Rear Side Door Check Link Fastener to Body CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
2	Rear Side Door Lower Hinge Fastener to Door (Qty: 2) Procedure Support the door before removing the hinge fasteners. Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
3	Rear Side Door Upper Hinge Fastener to Door (Qty: 2) Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
4	Rear Side Door Procedures With an assistant, remove the door. If replacing the door, transfer all necessary components. Adjust the door as needed. Refer to Rear Side Door Adjustment (Ext Cab) . NOTE: Inspect the door for proper operation before installing the door trim.
