Rear Side Door Adjustment (Ext Cab)

1 Rear Side Door
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Loosen the rear door hinge bolts (Qty: 6) to adjust the rear door.
  2. Adjust the rear door in order to obtain an even gap around as follows:

    Adjustment

    • Rear side door to roof

      (a) U/D Gap: 4.5 ± 1.25 / within 1.25

      C/C Flush: 3.0 ± 1.5 (Doors sub-Flush)

      Flush Alignment: within 1.5

    • Rear side door to edge of cab panel

      (b) F/A Gap: 4.0 ± 0.75 / within 1.0 (CC)

      C/C Flush: 0.25 ± 1.0 / within 1.0 (BSO sub-flush) (CC)

      C/C Gap: 6.0 ± 1.25 / within 1.0 (EC)

      Flush: 0.5 ± 1.0 / within 1.0 (BSO sub-flush) (EC)

    • Lower edge of rear side door to rocker panel

      (c) U/D Gap: 1.8 ± 0.5

    • Rear side door to front side door

      (d) F/A Gap: 4.0 ± 0.75 / within 1.0

      C/C Flush: 0.25 ± 1.0 / within 1.0 (Rear Door sub-flush)


Tighten 
32 N.m (24 lb ft)
NOTE:

If door drags on the door lock striker or high closing effort is needed to fully engage the door lock, then adjustment of the door lock striker will be required.
