Installation Procedure

  1. Install Camshaft Cover (2) Camshaft Cover Installation 
  2. If replacing the camshaft cover, install the following:
    1. Remove Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve - Intake - Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Replacement - Intake
    2. Remove Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve - Exhaust -Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Replacement - Exhaust
    3. Remove Camshaft Position Sensor - Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Intake
    4. Remove Camshaft Position Sensor - Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Exhaust
    5. Remove Camshaft Position Actuator Locating Pin Control Valve - Camshaft Position Actuator Locating Pin Control Valve Replacement
  3. Install the oil level indicator.
  4. Install Engine Lift Rear Bracket - Engine Lift Rear Bracket Replacement 
  5. Install Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe - Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LYX)

    NOTE:

    If the PCV valve has been removed from the valve cover, replace the valve and tube assembly (2).

  6. Install the PCV valve tube fastener (1). Tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in)

  7. Install Engine Wiring Harness Retainer (2)
  8. Connect Electrical Connector (3)
  9. Install Engine Wiring Harness Bolt (1) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  10. Install Air Cleaner Outlet Duct@Turbocharger - Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement

  11. Reposition the wiring harness (2) then install and tighten the engine wiring harness bolt (1). 10 N.m (89 lb in)
  12. Install Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly - Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement
  13. Install Vacuum Pump Assembly - Vacuum Pump Assembly Replacement
  14. Install Air Cleaner Assembly - Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
