Installation Procedure

  1. Install the intake manifold gasket (1).

  2. Install the intake manifold (2).
  3. Install the intake manifold upper fasteners (1) and hand tighten.

  4. Install the lower intake manifold fastener (1) and hand tighten.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Tighten the fastener in sequence twice to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  6. Install the radiator inlet pipe fastener (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  7. Connect the wire harness retainers from the intake manifold and reposition the harness aside.
  8. Connect the vacuum brake booster pipe at the intake manifold.
  9. Connect the evaporative emission pipe from the intake manifold retainer.
  10. If equipped with all-wheel drive, connect the front differential vent hose from the retainer at the intake manifold.
  11. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LCV, LTG) .
  12. Install the radiator surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LTG) .
  13. Install the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement (LCV)Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement (LTG) .

  14. Install the fuel pump insulator (1). Refer to Fuel Pump Insulator Replacement (Inner)Fuel Pump Insulator Replacement (Outer) .
  15. Install the plenum front panel. Refer to Plenum Front Panel Replacement .
