Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) .
  2. Remove Catalytic Converter - Right Side. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LF4) .

  3. Disengage Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (1) @ Heater Outlet Hose (2). Refer to Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  4. Remove Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace - Right Side. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement - Right Side (ATS-V) .
  5. Remove Radiator Surge Tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LF4, LGX)

  6. Remove Heater Outlet Hose Retainer (1) @ Heater Core (2)
