Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)
  2. Remove Plenum Front Panel. Refer to Plenum Front Panel Replacement
  3. Remove Engine Rear Noise Shield. Refer to Engine Rear Noise Shield Replacement (LF4) 
  4. Disconnect the Fuel Feed Pipe - Fuel Tank to Engine from the Fuel Feed Pipe - at Engine and reposition. Refer to Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (Fuel Tank To Engine LF4) Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (LF4 at Engine)

  5. Disconnect Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector (1)
  6. Remove Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Fastener (2) (Qty: 2)

  7. Remove Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Retainer (1)
  8. Remove Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (2)

  9. Remove and DISCARD Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Seal (1)
