Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble the engine front cover. Engine Front Cover Assemble (LGX)
    2. Fig 1: Front Cover

  2. Use the EN-46109  pins in order to install the engine front cover. Engine Front Cover Installation (LGX)
  3. Install Water Pump - Water Pump Replacement (LGX)
  4. Install Water Pump Inlet Pipe - Water Pump Inlet Pipe Replacement (LGX)
  5. Connect Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Electrical Connector
  6. Position engine harness and attach harness retainers to engine front cover.
  7. Install the ground cable and the fastener to the front engine cover. Tighten fastener to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  8. Connect Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector (1)
  9. Install Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe - Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Replacement (LGX)
  10. Install Crankshaft Balancer - Crankshaft Balancer Replacement (LGX)

  11. Install the water outlet (2) with radiator hose. Water Outlet Replacement (LGX)
  12. Install Engine Oil Cooler Adapter - Engine Oil Cooler Adapter Replacement (LGX)

  13. Install Camshaft Cover - Right Side (2)- Camshaft Cover Replacement - Right Side (LGX)

  14. Install Camshaft Cover - Left Side (2) - Camshaft Cover Replacement - Left Side (LGX)

  15. Install Water Pump Pulley (2) - Water Pump Pulley Replacement (LGX)
  16. Install Air Cleaner Assembly - Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LGX)
  17. Install Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness - Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness Replacement
  18. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)
