Rear Window Panel Trim Replacement (Sedan)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. If equipped with AM9 (split folding seat), remove the rear seat back cushion bolster. Refer to Rear Seat Back Bolster Replacement (Sedan) .
  3. If not equipped with AM9 (non folding seat), remove the rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (40% Seat with AM9)Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (60% Seat with AM9)Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (without AM9) .

Procedure

  1. Use a flat bladed tool to open the back cover on the center seat belt anchor buckle and depress the anchor release button.
  2. Lift up on the rear window panel to release the retainers under the forward portion of the panel.
  3. Route the center seat belt webbing, lower anchor bolt, bracket, buckle, and escutcheon through the trim.
  4. With the aid of an assistant, guide the rear window panel forward in the vehicle and upwards to clear the speaker system.
  5. When replacing the rear window panel trim assembly, transfer all necessary components.
  6. Ensure the rear window trim panel feet are seated into the rear window sheet metal drain shoe.
