CAUTION: Refer to Brake Dust Caution . Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Disable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling . Remove the park brake shoes. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (JD9) or Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (JH6, JH7) .
1	Park Brake Cable Eye Procedure: Disconnect the park brake cable eye from the park brake actuator lever.
2	Park Brake Cable Assembly Procedure: Pull the park brake cable conduit rearward to compress the spring and release the cable from the bracket.
3	Park Brake Actuator Procedure: After the installation is complete, enable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling .
