Front End Discriminating Sensor (Passenger-Side): Removal

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See ZONE 1  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Disconnect Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor and Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor connectors. Remove air duct from throttle body. Remove upper fan shroud. Remove fan clutch assembly from water pump. Remove lower fan shroud.
  3. Remove CPA clip and disconnect front end discriminating sensor harness connector. See Figure. Remove front end discriminating sensor bolts. Remove front end discriminating sensor.
