Fuel Tank: Removal

WARNING:

NOTE:

- Refer to: Gasoline and Gasoline-Ethanol Fuel Systems Health and Safety Precautions .
- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect - Vehicles With: Dual Batteries .
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Electric Motor (C0) - Overview .
- Drain the fuel tank. Refer to: Fuel Tank Draining .

- Disconnect the quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Release the retainer clip.

- Support the fuel tank with a transmission jack and remove the fuel tank strap bolts.Use the General Equipment: Transmission Jack
Torque: 48 Nm
- Lower the fuel tank.
- Support the fuel tank with a transmission jack and remove the fuel tank strap bolts.Use the General Equipment: Transmission Jack
- Disconnect the electrical connectors and detach the wiring harness clip.

Remove the fuel tank.
