Transmission Range (TR) Sensor: Installation

  1. Install the TR sensor (7H557).

    1. Position the park pawl actuator rod into the park pawl sleeve.
    2. Connect the park pawl actuator rod to the TR sensor.
    3. Rotate the TR sensor.
    4. Align the TR sensor to the detent spring.

    1. Slide the manual shaft and selector lever into the TR sensor.
    2. Align the TR sensor roll pin hole.

  2. Using the cupped end of the special tool, install the new manual shaft-to-TR sensor roll pin.

    1. New roll pin
    2. Cupped end of special toolUse Special Service Tool: 307-783 Installer, Roll Pin.Use the General Equipment: Rubber Mallet

    1. Align the detent spring in the center of the TR sensor.
    2. Torque

      : 11 Nm

  3. Connect the TR sensor electrical connector.

  4. Connect the selector lever cable from the transmission manual lever.

  5. Install the main control valve body. Refer to: Main Control Valve Body .
  6. Install the dual catalytic converter y-pipe Refer to: Dual Catalytic Converter Y-Pipe - RWD . Refer to: Dual Catalytic Converter Y-Pipe - AWD . Refer to: Dual Catalytic Converter Y-Pipe - RWD . Refer to: Dual Catalytic Converter Y-Pipe - AWD .
  7. Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to: Selector Lever Cable Adjustment - 3.5L Duratec (202kW/275PS) . Refer to: Selector Lever Cable Adjustment - 3.5L EcoBoost (235kW/320PS) .
