Fuel Tank: Removal

NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation steps.
- Disconnect the battery. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .
- Drain the fuel tank. Refer to: Fuel Tank Draining .
- 4. Remove the muffler and tailpipe. Refer to: Muffler and Tailpipe .
- Remove the rear drive shaft. Refer to: Rear Driveshaft .
- Remove the fasteners and position the RH air deflector aside.
Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
- Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Remove the bolt and detach the retainer clips. Position the wiring harness aside.
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Disconnect the electrical connectors and detach the retainer clips.
- Remove the quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling

- Remove the quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling
.
- Use transmission jack Use the General Equipment: Transmission Jack
- Remove the bolts and the fuel tank.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)
- Remove the fuel tank insulator.
- Remove the retainer clips. Position the wiring harness aside.

- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the retainer clips and the wiring harness.
- Remove the quick connector, retainer clips, then remove the fuel supply tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling

- Remove the push pin and the retainer clip.
- Remove the quick connectors and the rear vapor tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
