Pinpoint Test D: Engagement Quality - Forward
- Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
- Delayed/soft forward
- Check the transmission fluid level. REFER to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
- Carry out the transmission strategy download and the adaptive learning drive cycle. REFER to: Transmission Strategy Download . REFER to: Adaptive Learning Drive Cycle .
- Carry out the line pressure test. If line pressure is low, refer to the Line Pressure Diagnosis Chart for further diagnosis. REFER to: Special Testing Procedures .
- Check the A clutch for a slipping apply condition. REFER to: A Clutch .
- Check the hydraulic SOWC for slipping. REFER to: Hydraulic Selectable One-Way Clutch Assembly .
- Harsh forward
- Carry out the transmission strategy download and the adaptive learning drive cycle. REFER to: Transmission Strategy Download . REFER to: Adaptive Learning Drive Cycle .
- Check the A clutch for a harsh apply condition. REFER to: A Clutch .
- Check the hydraulic SOWC for damage. REFER to: Hydraulic Selectable One-Way Clutch Assembly .
- Neutral after launch
- Check the hydraulic SOWC for slipping. REFER to: Hydraulic Selectable One-Way Clutch Assembly .
- Slip on hard acceleration in 1st
- Check the hydraulic SOWC for slipping. REFER to: Hydraulic Selectable One-Way Clutch Assembly .
- Harsh/soft/delayed engagement after start/stop restart
- Inspect the auto start-stop accumulator for external leaks. If leaks are found, INSTALL a new auto start-stop accumulator. REFER to: Auto-Start-Stop Accumulator .
Possible Sources
- Corrupted transmission strategy
- Low transmission fluid level
- Low or high line pressure
- Clutch fault
- Auto start-stop accumulator fault
- Delayed/soft forward
