High Mounted Stoplamp: Removal

Vehicles with high mounted stoplamp with camera 

  1. Remove the screws and position the high mounted stoplamp.

    Torque: 10 lb.in (1.1 Nm)

  2. NOTE: To avoid damage to the high mounted stoplamp wiring harness, disconnect the connectors in this order.

    Disconnect the high mounted stoplamp electrical connectors in this order and remove the high mounted stoplamp.

    1. Disconnect the small high mounted stoplamp electrical connector.
    2. Disconnect the large high mounted stoplamp electrical connector and remove the high mounted stoplamp.

    Vehicles equipped with incandescant bulbs 

  3. Lower the rear of the headliner. Refer to: Headliner - Lowering - Regular Cab . Refer to: Headliner - Lowering - SuperCab . Refer to: Headliner - Lowering - SuperCrew .
  4. Disconnect the center high mounted stoplamp electrical connector.

  5. Remove the screws and position the high mounted stoplamp aside.

    Torque: 10 lb.in (1.1 Nm)

  6. If required, remove the incandesant bulb.

    1. Remove the bulb holder.
    2. Remove the bulb.
