Pinpoint Test H : TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) Solenoid

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Refer to Transmission Controls - 6F35 for schematic and connector information.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The PCM controls torque converter lock-up by varying the amount of current applied to the TCC solenoid. When no current is applied to the TCC solenoid, the TCC is fully released. When maximum current is applied, the TCC is fully applied.

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
PCM P0740:00 Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit/Open: No Sub Type Information Open circuit in the TCC solenoid or wiring harness.
PCM P0742:00 Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit Stuck On: No Sub Type Information Short to ground in the TCC solenoid or wiring harness.
PCM P0743:00 Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit Electrical: No Sub Type Information Open or short to ground in the TCC solenoid or wiring harness.
PCM P0744:00 Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit Intermittent: No Sub Type Information Intermittent short to power in the TCC solenoid or wiring harness.
PCM P2758:00 Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Stuck On: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets when the TCC is stuck in the ON position or solenoid or there is a short to power.
PCM P2760:00 Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Intermittent: No Sub Type Information Intermittent short to ground in the TCC solenoid or wiring harness, this may cause the engine to stall at low speeds.
