Pinpoint Test F : Both Rear Power Windows Are Inoperative

  1. Refer to POWER WINDOWS for schematic and connector information.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Glass, Frames and Mechanisms - Vehicles With: One-Touch Open Driver Window - System Operation and Component Description .

    Possible Sources 

    • Driver door window control switch
    • Wiring, terminals or connectors

    Visual Inspection and Pre-checks 

    • Make sure the passenger door window lock-out switch is in the UNLOCK position.

  2. F1 CHECK THE LH (LEFT-HAND) REAR DOOR WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH VOLTAGE CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Disconnect: Driver Door Window Control Switch C535A.

    • Disconnect: LH Rear Window Control Switch C717.

    • Measure:
      Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead

    Is the resistance less than 3 ohms? 

    Yes  INSTALL a new driver door window control switch. REFER to: Driver Door Window Control Switch .
    No  REPAIR the circuit.
