Pinpoint Test AQ : The Brake Applied - Power Reduced Message Or The Check Fuel Fill Inlet Message Is Never Or Always Displayed

- Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
For the brake applied - power reduced message
See Brake Applied - Power Reduced Message. REFER to: Message Center - System Operation and Component Description .
- If the brake pedal applied message request is missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the brake pedal applied - power reduced message center message to the last indication state, based upon the last message received.
- If the brake pedal applied message request is missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the brake pedal applied - power reduced message center message off.
For the check fuel fill inlet message
See Check Fuel Fill Inlet Message. REFER to: Message Center - System Operation and Component Description .
- If the check fuel fill inlet message request is missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the check fuel fill inlet message center message to the last indication state, based upon the last message received.
- If the check fuel fill inlet message request is missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the check fuel fill inlet message center message off.

- Evaporative emissions system concern
- GWM concern

- AQ1 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION
- Ignition ON.
- Close all doors, the hood and liftgate.
- Clear all message center warnings by pressing the OK button for each warning present.
- Monitor the driver door ajar warning message.
- Open the driver door.
- Clear the message center popup warning.
- Monitor the driver door ajar warning message.
Is the driver door ajar warning message displayed with the door open and off with the door closed?
Yes GO to AQ2 No DIAGNOSE the door ajar warning indicator. GO to Pinpoint Test R - AQ2 PERFORM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes REFER to DTC Chart: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) No GO to AQ3 - AQ3 PERFORM THE PCM (POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE) KOEO (KEY ON, ENGINE OFF) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the PCMKOEO self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes REFER to ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS (1.0L) or refer to ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS (2.0L) No GO to AQ4 - AQ4 CHECK THE GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the GWM Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs).
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes No Refer to PCM GUIDED ROUTINE TESTING
