Fuel Rail Supply Tube: Installation

- 1.NOTE: Make sure that a new fuel rail supply tube is installed.
- 1.
Install the new fuel rail supply tube flare nuts and the fuel rail supply tube mounting bolts finger tight at this stage.
- 2.NOTE: Use a back-up wrench on the fuel rail supply tube and the fuel injection pump fittings.
Tighten the fuel rail supply tube flare nut at the fuel injection pump in the following 3 stages.
Torque:
Stage 1: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
Stage 2: Wait 30s
Stage 3: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

Tighten the fuel rail supply tube flare nut at the fuel rail in the following 3 stages.Torque:
Stage 1: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
Stage 2: Wait 30s
Stage 3: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

Tighten the fuel rail supply tube mounting boltsTorque: 89 lb.in (10.0 Nm)
- 1.
- 2.NOTE: Make sure that new fuel injector supply tubes are installed.NOTE: Install the new #2 and the new #3 fuel injector supply tubes and tighten the flare nuts finger tight at this stage.
- 1.NOTE: Use a back-up wrench on the fuel injector supply tube fittings.
Tighten the fuel injector supply tube flare nuts at the fuel rail.
Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

Tighten the fuel injector supply tube flare nuts at the fuel injectors in the following 3 stages.Torque:
Stage 1: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
Stage 2: Wait 30s
Stage 3: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

Tighten the fuel injector supply tube flare nuts at the fuel rail.Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

Connect the battery. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect - Vehicles With: Dual Batteries .
- 4.
Bleed the Fuel System. Refer to: Fuel System Bleeding .
- 5.
Remove the oil filler cap. Install the engine appearance cover, position the hose back and install the oil filler cap.
