Battery Disconnect and Connect - Vehicles With: Dual Batteries
Depower
NOTE:
To interrupt power to the vehicle electrical system, disconnect the battery ground cable only. It is not necessary to disconnect the positive battery cable.
NOTE:
Vehicles equipped with manual seats do not have a vertical seat adjustment.

Position the LH front seat backrest cover to release a retainer.

Position the LH front seat backrest cover.
- 1.

If equipped, position the battery cover insulator.
- 2.
Remove the battery disconnect access cover.
- 1.
Repower
- 2.
If equipped with one-touch up and one-touch down feature, perform the window motor initialization. Refer to: Power Door Window Initialization .
Disconnect
NOTE:
Do not remove the LH front seat front track stop bolts without removing battery hold-down bracket first or damage to the wiring harness may occur.

Position the LH front seat backrest cover and release a retainer.
- 2.
Position the LH front seat backrest cover.
- 1.
- 8.NOTE: Do not remove the seat track mounting bolts.
Remove the LH front seat track stop bolt covers and the bolts.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- 10.NOTE: Seat not shown in illustration for clarity.

Release the battery cover latch.
- 2.
Pull the battery cover rearward and remove the battery cover.
- 1.
- 12.
Remove the battery post covers. Loosen the nuts and position the positive battery cables.Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
Connect

If equipped with one-touch up and one-touch down feature, perform the window motor initialization. Refer to: Power Door Window Initialization .
