Inspection and Verification

- Verify the customer concern.
- Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical Electrical - In-dash computer
- Tool Link™ antennas
- Tool Link™ ID tag(s)
- Battery Junction Box (BJB) fuse 5 (30A)
- Body Control Module (BCM) fuse(s):
- 29 (20A)
- 35 (5A)
- 38 (15A)
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- If the fault is visually evident, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
- If the cause is not visually evident:
- For an in-dash computer concern or Tool Link™ concern, GO to SYMPTOM CHART .
- For a Crew Chief concern (vehicles with diagnostic LEDs), verify the status of each LED. Proceed to the Telematics Module Green Diagnostic LED Chart or Telematics Module Red Diagnostic LED Chart .
- For a Crew Chief concern (vehicles without diagnostic LEDs), GO to SYMPTOM CHART .
