Pinpoint Test Ah: U0159:00

  1. AH1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Verify there is an observable symptom present.

    Is an observable symptom present? 

    1. Yes:  GO to AH2
    2. No:  The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
  2. AH2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a scan tool, perform a network test.

    Does the Parking Aid Module (PAM) pass the network test? 

    1. Yes:  GO to AH3
    2. No:  REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
  3. AH3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST 
    • Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

    Is DTC U0140:00, DTC U3006:16 or DTC U3006:17 recorded? 

    1. Yes:  For DTC U0140:00, GO to Pinpoint Test AF 

      For DTC U3006:16, GO to Pinpoint Test AM 

      For DTC U3006:17, GO to Pinpoint Test AN 

    2. No:  GO to AH4
  4. AH4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE PARKING AID MODULE (PAM) SELF-TEST 
    • Using a scan tool, perform the Parking Aid Module (PAM) module self-test.

    Is DTC U3003:62 recorded? 

    1. Yes:  REFER to: PARKING AID .
    2. No:  GO to AH5
  5. AH5 RECHECK THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) 
    NOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration can be incorrectly set during the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) or the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) may not have been carried out.
    • Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
    • Wait 10 seconds.
    • Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

    Is DTC U0159:00 still present? 

    1. Yes:  INSTALL a new Parking Aid Module (PAM).

      REFER to: PARKING ASSIST CONTROL MODULE (PAM) - 4-DOOR .

      CLEAR the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U0159:00 is still present, INSTALL a new IPC.

      REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)  .

    2. No:  The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
