Pinpoint Test

1. Press the lock and unlock button on the driver door lock control switch while observing the door lock operation.

Do the door locks operate correctly? 

• Yes: GO to 2  .
• No: CHECK the symptom(s). REFER to Symptom Chart: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems - Electrical .

1. Place the hazard switch in the ON position.

Do the hazard lamps operate correctly? 

• Yes: GO to 3  .
• No: REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE R : One Turn Signal Lamp Is Inoperative Or Always On.

1. Press the interior power liftgate switch.

Does the power liftgate open? 

• Yes: GO to 4  .
• No: REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE A : The Power Liftgate Is Inoperative.

1. Using the scan tool, view the BCM PIDs  .
2. Select the BCM PID HORN and active command the horn on.

Does the horn sound when commanded on? 

• Yes: GO to 5  .
• No: REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE A : The Horn Is Inoperative.

1. Using the scan tool, view the RFA module PIDs  .
2. Select the RFA module PID Lst_Xm_B_Prs while pressing the remote start button on an IA key.

Does the PID indicate the remote start button is being pressed? 

• Yes: REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE F : The Remote Start Is Inoperative.
• No: REPLACE and PROGRAM the inoperative IA key:

  REFER to ERASE ALL KEYS AND PROGRAM TWO KEYS ,

  REFER to KEY PROGRAMMING USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT , or

  REFER to KEY PROGRAMMING USING TWO PROGRAMMED KEYS .
