PINPOINT TEST B: DTCs B2009 AND U2510 - DATA MISMATCH (RECEIVED DATA DOES NOT MATCH WHAT WAS EXPECTED)

- B1 USE THE DTCs FROM THE PCM SELF-TEST
- Use the recorded PCM DTCs.
- Is DTC U2510 or B2009 recorded?
- YES : Go to B2.
- NO : The system is OK.
- B2 CLEAR TCM ID FROM THE PCM AND THE TCM
- Connect the diagnostic tool.
- Carry out the parameter reset procedure. Refer to Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Parameter Reset .
- Key in ON position.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the diagnostic tool: Retrieve the DTCs
- Is DTC U2510 or B2009 retrieved?
- YES : VERIFY TCM calibration is correct for the vehicle. If correct, INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS - HYBRID article. TEST the system for normal operation. PROGRAM 2 keys. REFER to Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment . CARRY OUT the parameter reset procedure, REFER to Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Parameter Reset . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U2510 or B2009 still exists, INSTALL a new TCM. REFER to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (ECVT) article. TEST the system for normal operation. If the vehicle is equipped with the valet feature, PROGRAM the third PATS key (if available) or instruct the customer on how to CARRY OUT this procedure. REFER to Key Programming Using Two Programmed Keys .
- NO : The system is OK. CHECK for any other DTCs. REFER to Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index.
