Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Parameter Reset

 Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) and Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) software with appropriate hardware, or equivalent scan tool  
  1. Connect the scan tool.
  2. Key in the ON position.
  3. Carry out the security access procedure for the PCM. For additional information, refer to Anti-Theft Security Access .
    4. NOTE: Do not carry out the ignition key code erase.
  4. Enter the powertrain control module (PCM) parameter reset mode on the scan tool.
  5. Carry out the security access procedure for the transmission control module (TCM). For additional information, refer to Anti-Theft Security Access .
  6. Enter the TCM parameter reset mode on the scan tool.
  7. Key in the OFF position for a minimum of 3 seconds.
  8. Key in the ON position for a minimum of 3 seconds.
  9. Clear the DTCs.
  10. Key in the OFF position for a minimum of 3 seconds.
