Verify Condition

Place air bag system in diagnostic mode and check for Code 7. See DIAGNOSIS MODE & RETRIEVING CODES  under DIAGNOSTICS. If AIR BAG warning light flashes Code 7, replace air bag diagnostic monitor. See DIAGNOSTIC MONITOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Clear air bag system fault codes. See CLEARING CODES  under DIAGNOSTICS. Perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under . If AIR BAG warning light does not flash Code 7, inspect air bag system wiring harness, connectors, spices and crimps for intermittent faults.
