Speedometer & Odometer Won't Switch Between English & Metric

  1. Place ignition switch in "RUN" position. Press "MPH/KMH" button. If odometer and speed readings change (number other than zero is displayed), system is okay. If no change takes place, go to next step.
  2. With ignition switch in "RUN" position, press "MPH/KMH" button. Make sure that fuel computer and ATC temperature readouts change. If readings change, replace speedometer module. If no change takes place, go to next step.
  3. Remove trim panel to expose cluster. Verify that connection from switch assembly is secure and properly aligned. If incorrect, properly connect wiring and recheck. If okay, go to next step.
  4. Perform SWITCH TEST (MODULE DOES NOT RESPOND TO BUTTONS)  test. If switch is okay, replace speedometer module. If switch is not okay, replace switch.
