Switch Test (Module Does Not Respond To Buttons)
- Place ignition switch in "RUN" position. Press problem button and listen for beep. If button beeps, replace problem module. If button does not beep, go to next step.
- Remove trim panel to expose cluster. Verify that connection from switch assembly to electronic instrument cluster is secure and properly aligned. If incorrect, properly connect wiring and recheck. If okay, go to next step.
- Unplug switch from electronic instrument cluster. Measure resistance between wire of problem button and Green wire. See Instrument Cluster Pin Connector Identification. Reading should be 1045-1155 ohms. If incorrect, replace switch. If okay, go to next step.
- Unplug switch from electronic instrument cluster. Measure resistance between wire of problem button and Green wire. Resistance readings should be as specified in table. If incorrect, replace switch. If okay, replace problem module.
