Plate, Scuff, Rear Door Sill: Removal

Remove the lower B-pillar trim (1). Refer to PANEL, B-PILLAR TRIM, UPPER, REMOVAL .
Remove the cowl side trim panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, SIDE, REMOVAL .

Position the rear seat in the unlatched full forward position.
With the use of (special tool #C-4829A, Remover, Trim) or equivalent, remove the three retainers (3) for the rear carpet trim (4).
Remove the rear carpet trim (4).
Remove the rear seat belt anchor cover (1).
Remove the rear door opening weatherstrip (2) along the perimeter of the rear door sill scuff plate.

Unlock the front seat belt anchor buckle (1) from the latch plate (2). Refer to BUCKLE, SEAT BELT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

With the use of (special tool #C-4829A, Remover, Trim) or equivalent, remove the retainer (2).
Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, pry the rear door sill scuff plate (1) up, releasing the retaining clips.
Slide the rear door sill scuff plate (1) forward to release from the quarter panel trim.
Lift the rear door sill scuff plate (1) and route the seat belt tensioner latch plate (3) through.
Remove the rear door sill scuff plate (1) from the vehicle.
