Valve Body: Removal: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Drain the transmission fluid. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE  .
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to REMOVAL for naturally aspirated models or AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL for turbocharged models.
  3. Remove battery tray. Refer to REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the electric cooling fan. Refer to FAN, COOLING, REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the side cover bolts (1).
  6. Loosen the side cover by tapping with a plastic hammer, remove the side cover.

  7. Disconnect the wire harness from the clamps.
  8. Disconnect the solenoid connectors and the speed sensor connectors (1).

  9. Remove the oil temperature sensor bolt (1) and clamp (2). Remove the sensor (3) from the valve body.

  10. Remove the speed sensor connector (1) from the solenoid clamp.

  11. Remove the valve body bolts evenly in the sequence shown above.

  12. Remove the clip from the linkage rod (1).
  13. Disconnect the linkage rod from the valve body and remove from the transmission.
