CROSSMEMBER, Radiator: Removal

  1. Remove the front fascia as necessary to access the radiator crossmember. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the hood latch. Refer to LATCH, HOOD, REMOVAL .
  3. Release and position aside the pressurized coolant bottle. Refer to BOTTLE, PRESSURIZED COOLANT, REMOVAL .

  4. Working on the backside of the upper radiator crossmember (1), remove the screws (3) that hold the fresh air tube (4) to the upper crossmember (1) and position aside.
  5. Remove the radiator crossmember bolts (2).
  6. Route the hood release cable through the upper radiator crossmember (1) and remove the crossmember from the vehicle.

  7. If necessary, remove the fasteners (1) securing the coolant bottle bracket (2) to the upper radiator crossmember.
    NOTE:

    Follow the remaining steps to remove the upper radiator crossmember extensions.

  8. Disengage the hood release cable retaining tabs (2) from the left headlamp bracket (1).
  9. Remove the fasteners (3) and remove the left headlamp bracket (1) from the vehicle.

  10. Remove the fasteners (1) and remove the right headlamp bracket (2) from the vehicle.

  11. Remove the bolts (4) that secure the radiator upper mounts to the upper radiator crossmember extensions.
  12. Remove the fasteners (1) and remove the left (3) and right (2) upper radiator crossmember extensions.
