Rotor, Brake: Removal: Rear

NOTE:

Before proceeding. Refer to CAUTION . Refer to WARNING .

  1. Place the Electric Park Brake (EPB) in maintenance mode. Refer to PARKING BRAKE, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Raise and support vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the brake caliper from the brake caliper adapter, using a suitable device, support the disc brake caliper. Refer to CALIPER, DISC BRAKE, REAR, REMOVAL . Do not let the disc brake caliper hang by the brake hose.
  5. Remove the brake caliper adapter bracket. Refer to ADAPTER, DISC BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVAL .

  6. Remove the brake rotor to hub studs (1) and slide brake rotor off the hub and bearing.
