Standard Procedure

Initializing Electric Park Brake (EPB) Maintenance Mode

1. Turn the ignition on.
   NOTE:

   Before entering the maintenance mode, the Electric Park Brake (EPB) has to be fully released either by switch or by diagnosis command.

2. Connect a scan tool.
3. Apply brake pressure. 
4. In EPB, misc, maintenance mode, select engaged.
   NOTE:

   The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) will display "retracted" when maintenance mode is engaged.

5. Turn the ignition off.
