Removal & Installation: CLOCKSPRING: Installation

- Ensure steering wheel and front wheels are in straight-ahead position. If unsure of clockspring position, center clockspring before installing. See CLOCKSPRING CENTERING under ADJUSTMENTS.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten clockspring retaining screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . DO NOT connect negative battery cable at this time. Perform air bag system check to ensure air bag system is functioning properly. See AIR BAG SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
