Removal & Installation: CLOCKSPRING: Installation

  1. Ensure steering wheel and front wheels are in straight-ahead position. If unsure of clockspring position, center clockspring before installing. See CLOCKSPRING CENTERING  under ADJUSTMENTS.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten clockspring retaining screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . DO NOT connect negative battery cable at this time. Perform air bag system check to ensure air bag system is functioning properly. See AIR BAG SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
