Test 1A - Identifying System Problems

  1. Make sure that battery is fully charged. With DRB select "Passive Restraints" "Airbag". If DRB displays a blank screen, go to TEST 1A - VEHICLE COMMUNICATION  . If DRB displays "No Response", perform TEST 10A - VEHICLE COMMUNICATION  .
  2. Read active and stored codes from DRB and record them. If codes INTERNAL DIAGNOSTICS 1, INTERNAL DIAGNOSTICS 2, AECM ACCELEROMETER, AECM OUTPUT DRIVER, OR AECM STORED ENERGY are present, perform TEST 15A - ACM REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE  . If there are active codes, perform appropriate test. Using DRB, erase stored codes.
