Valve, Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL, 6.7L .
  4. Remove the front EGR tube. Refer to TUBE, EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR), CROSSOVER, REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the nut (2) and position the coolant hose aside (1, 3).

  6. Disconnect the EGR valve wire harness connector (1).

  7. Remove the bolts (1), nut and the EGR valve

  8. Remove and discard the gasket (1).
