Test 26A: Orc, No Odometer Message (Active Code)

NOTE: Prior to performing any air bag system test, go to PRETEST INSPECTION & DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  under DIAGNOSTICS. Perform TEST VER-1: AIR BAG VERIFICATION TEST  after all repairs unless otherwise directed.

Connect DRB to DLC. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using DRB, attempt to communicate with Body Control Module (BCM). If DRB cannot communicate with BCM, diagnose PCI bus circuit malfunction between BCM and ORC. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If DRB can communicate with BCM, and no other malfunctions are detected, replace ORC. See OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER (ORC)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
