after all repairs unless otherwise directed.
- Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Access and disconnect driver-side seat belt pretensioner connector. See SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Connect SRS Load Tool (8443) and appropriate jumper to harness side of pretensioner connector. Connect DRB to DLC. See OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER (ORC) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Connect SRS load tool ORC adapter to harness side of ORC connector. Measure resistance of Light Green-Dark Green wire between SRS load tool ORC adapter and pretensioner connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step. If resistance is more than one ohm, repair open or high resistance in driver-side pretensioner Light Green-Dark Green wire.
- Measure resistance of Light Green-Yellow wire between SRS load tool ORC adapter and pretensioner connector. If resistance is less than one ohm and no other malfunctions are detected, replace ORC. If resistance is more than one ohm, repair open or high resistance in driver-side pretensioner Light Green-Yellow wire.
