Test Procedure
- Using scan tool, read and record BCM DTCs. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect HVAC control panel C1 connector. Check voltage between ground and HVAC control panel C1 connector terminal No. 6 (Red/Tan wire). See Figure. If reading is greater than 0.3 volts, go to next step. If reading is 0.3 volts or less, replace HVAC control panel. After repair is complete, go to step 3.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect BCM C2 connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using DVOM, check for voltage between ground and HVAC control panel C1 connector terminal No. 6 (Red/Tan wire). See Figure. If voltage is present, repair short to voltage in Red/White wire between BCM C2, terminal No. 23 and HVAC control panel C1, terminal No. 6. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage does not exist, replace and reprogram BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULES article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. After repair is complete, go to next step.
- After repair is complete, perform calibration test. See CALIBRATION TEST - HVAC DOOR MOTORS under ADJUSTMENTS. Perform verification test. See BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 under VERIFICATION TESTS.
