Test 31A - T1 Sense Circuit
NOTE:
Perform TEST 5A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition on. Place shifter in "P" position. Disconnect transmission range switch connector. Use scan tool in voltmeter mode. Measure voltage at terminal No. 3 of connector. If voltage is 5 volts or less, go to next step. If voltage is more than 5 volts, replace transmission range switch.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector. Use scan tool in ohmmeter mode. On F24S and FJ22 models, measure resistance at terminal No. 41 on TCM connector. On all other models, measure resistance at terminal No. 1 on TCM connector. On all models, if resistance is 5 ohms or more, replace TCM. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair transmission range switch circuit for short to ground.
