Test 29A - T41 Sense Circuit
NOTE:
Perform TEST 5A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition on. Place shifter in "P" position. Disconnect Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch connector. Use scan tool in voltmeter mode. Measure voltage at terminal No. 2 of PNP connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, go to next step. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace PNP switch.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector. Use scan tool in ohmmeter mode. On F24S and FJ22 models, measure resistance at terminal No. 1 of TCM connector. On all other models, measure resistance at terminal No. 41 of TCM connector. On all models, if resistance is 5 ohms or more, replace TCM. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair PNP signal circuit for short to ground.
