- WARNING:
Valve Springs can be tightly compressed. Use care when removing retainers and plugs. Personal injury could result.
CAUTION:After cleaning the transmission components, allow to air dry. Do not use cloth or paper towels in order to dry any transmission components. Lint from the towels can cause component failure.
CAUTION:Do not reuse cleaning solvents. Previously used solvents may deposit sediment which may damage the component.
Clean and inspect all valve components and the valve body. The control valve lower body is replaceable only as an assembly.
- Transmission Fluid Passage Plug (1) - Clean and inspect
- Pressure Regulator Valve Train (2) - Clean and inspect
- Pressure Relief Ball Valve Train (3) - Clean and inspect
- Actuator Feed Limit Valve Train (4) - Clean and inspect
- Default Override Valve Train (5) - Clean and inspect
- Automatic Transmission Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt - Model Dependent (6) - Clean and inspect
- Automatic Transmission Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt - Model Dependent (6) - Install and tighten M6 x 209 N.m (80 lb in)
- Control Valve Plug - Model Dependent (7) - Clean and inspect
- Control Valve Center Body Hole Plug (8) - Clean and inspect
- Clutch Piston Exhaust Blowoff Ball Valve Train (9) - Clean and inspect
- Torque Converter Clutch Valve Train (10) - Clean and inspect
- Lube Regulator Valve Train (11) - Clean and inspect
- Torque Converter Clutch Control Valve Train (12) - Clean and inspect
